Carson City Democratic Central Committee Membership
The Central Committee is formed for two year intervals, from County Convention to County Convention. The existing Central Committee is dissolved at the Convention and a new one is seated.
After and between County Conventions, a person has to attend a Central Committee meeting and either be nominated by a current member or self-nominate. The nominee must be present at the next Central Committee meeting and a vote on new members will be taken prior to adjournment. The new member will be able to vote starting at the next regular meeting.
CCDCC Bylaws II. B.. 5. (c) iv. state “Vacancies shall be filled at a meeting of the CCDCC upon nomination and majority vote in favor of nomination. Members nominated at one meeting are not eligible to vote until a subsequent meeting, allowing time for validation of the new member's residence and arty affiliation.”
